Learning Hyperlinks?

Learning how to do hyperlinks in html. I can do:

<*a* href="https://plus.google.com/+samtreloar">'insert linkword here'<&/&a&>

which looks like (without the asterisks and ampersands!)

'insert linkword here'

But +samtreloar

...?
